Evaluation of Occupational Noise Exposure in a Plastic Manufacturing Industry: A Case Study

Industrial workers need a safe working environment to ensure their wellbeing is protected while performing tasks. Occupational noise one of the most prevalent problems in industries due nature industry. Therefore, this paper aimed evaluate occupational exposure plastic factories Klang Valley, Malaysia. Noise measurement has been done all production lines, crushing department, packaging department and officers’ area. The measurements were taken 1 3 metres from source at several points for each line departments using sound level meter. Average location noted LAeq less than 80 dBA, except point B recorded lowest level, with 64.8 dBA LAmax 69.2 dBA. While, noisiest area factory, 105 100.9 average majority factory which means it range. do not any personal hearing protection equipment during working, was according Safety & Health (Noise Exposure) Regulations 2019 regulations Malaysia, only. In conclusion, evaluation section can provide good understanding experienced by different departments. It help management strategize plan control approach, especially that may have risk loss workers.
